The Qaderoon Club for Culture and Recreation was established within the Arab Society in 2020. The club aims to provide persons with disabilities with the space and time to benefit from the Society’s premises and facilities to carry out social, cultural, and recreational activities—initially for members of the Society. As the activities expanded and diversified, and with the transition toward an inclusive and integrated approach, the number of participants in the club increased, with persons without disabilities becoming an important and integral part of the club’s activities.
The club carries out at least one activity per week under four main pillars: social, cultural, health, and recreational activities. These include lectures, introductory meetings, trips, film screenings, celebrations of religious occasions, group music-based emotional release sessions, and other activities planned and implemented by a team of persons with and without disabilities.
