Jerusalem: The Arab Association for Persons with Disabilities held its Annual Regular Meeting of the General Assembly on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at the Association's headquarters in Jerusalem. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmad Fteiha, Chairman of the Board, who initially announced the meeting's legality due to the quorum being met by the members of the General Assembly. The meeting welcomed Eng. Hajj Mustafa Abu Zahra, the Honorary President of the Association, as well as the members of the General Assembly and announced the agenda for the General Assembly meeting.
The Society's Secretary, Mr. Wael Tufaha, reviewed the 2024 administrative report from various aspects, including administrative affairs, partnerships with civil society organizations, and projects carried out. He also highlighted the major activities and events implemented throughout 2024. The administrative report for 2024 was approved after a discussion of some matters related to the report.
Following that, Mr. Ahmad Khalaf, the Society's Treasurer, read the 2024 auditor's report, prepared by the Nabulsi Auditing and Accounting Firm. The report presented the value of the Society's assets, as well as the income and expenses for 2024, along with the liabilities of the Society by the end of the mentioned year. A discussion ensued regarding some financial matters, which were clarified. The General Assembly approved the auditor’s report.
At the end of the meeting, several administrative and financial issues and challenges facing the association were presented and discussed. A number of solutions were proposed, which the Board of Directors will review and implement where possible.
